Bio
The life of Incubated is one that starts back in 2007 at a music college in Hull. After joining one of England’s best performing musician courses, Access to Music, founding members, Matt Kitching and Dave Stones, decided to start up a band. After writing a few songs and playing a couple of the college gigs the rock star bug had bitten and the infection had spread. The current line up wasn’t working for various reasons and there were worries that this could maybe be the end of this short lived band. Little did they know that one of their college mates had just split up from his band of 2 years and was looking for greener pastures to further his music career. Without a minute’s thought Dave and Matt decided to ask him to join the band. From here on it was only up for this small band from East Yorkshire. Playing gigs across the country in places like Hull, Leeds, York, Birmingham and various other locations, making many friends along the way. They then decided to record their debut EP ‘Welcome to the Human Race’ themselves, which went down pretty well. The band continued to gig both locally and further afield but felt they needed to do more to get better exposure. Guitarist, Dave Runkee, had recently been looking into getting a new guitar and wasn’t sure which way to go. After trying a few different makes he came across Hagstrom guitars, which immediately caught his eye. As soon as he picked up his first Hagstrom he knew that these were the guitars he wanted to use. After getting in touch with Hagstrom, talks of an endorsement were on the table to help Dave and the band out with more exposure. Various talks took place and the deal was done, Dave and Matt were endorsed by Hagstrom and haven’t been happier since.
Dave – “The amount of balls that comes out of these guitars, even Chuck Norris would be scared!”
Matt – “There’s so much bottom end you could demolish a wall with it if you wanted to!!”
